“Ok, so are you going to at least tell me what’s in the box?” Becky asked from the back seat. Derrick glanced at Harlem.
“No.” he replied. He tossed it in the back seat. “Touch that and you’re dead!” He proclaimed as he got into the car and pulled off. They rode in silence.
Alonzo went in the bank, cashed the checks and returned to the vehicle.
“How much do you have?” Trina asked.
“A lot.” Alonzo replied.
“What the hell does that mean?” Meri asked. “Did you get all the money from the policy?”
“Yes.” Alonzo replied. “Now, let's meet up with Dre so he can tell us where we can get some coke to sell!”
“Lit!” Darren proclaimed.
“Someone get her up!” One of the correctional officers ordered. Rita groaned as they brought her to her feet. Fred walked in with a look of disappointment.
“I’ve never seen anyone freak out as bad as you did.” He announced. Rita smacked her teeth. “Your lawyer is here.” Rita’s eyes lit up with hope.
“Finally! Hopefully he can get me out of this hell hole!” She began to cry tears of joy as they led her out of the cell.
The officers led Rita to the meeting room and chained her to the desk after she sat down. The lawyer smiled.
“I have good news!” he stated. Rita smiled from ear to ear. “We found your daughter.”
“Where was she?” Rita asked.
“At a hospital. She tried to kill herself.” He replied. Rita’s jaw dropped
Yonny hopped in his car and sped away in tears.
“I’ve got to find a way to help Tonya.” He stated.
